On the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will perform a liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
A message about this was published on April 4 by the official website of the HCU.
We invite all believers to take part in the festive Divine Liturgy, which will begin on April 7, Friday, in the main cathedral of the Lavra at 9.00. During Divine Liturgy let us jointly lift up our prayers to the Lord and His Blessed Mother for our defenders of the Motherland, for all our Ukrainian people and for the victory of Ukraine.
The HCU invited believers to join the joint prayer in the shrine of the Ukrainian people – the Assumption Cathedral of the Lavra.
Recall that the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate was obliged to move out of the Lavra before March 29, but did not do this and challenged the decision to terminate the lease agreement. Today, in the Lavra in Kyiv, the prayer standing of the clergy and believers of the UOC-MP continued. A prayer service was conducted by Metropolitan Onufry.
Meanwhile, more than 30 people’s deputies want to appeal to the government with a proposal to terminate the lease agreement with the UOC-MP for the facilities of the Pochaev Assumption Lavra. This Lavra is located in the Ternopil region.
