The Khmelnitsky Regional Council decided to ban the activities of the UOC in the region. This decision was unanimously supported by the deputies at the meeting.
This decision also instructs local authorities to conduct an inventory of UOC lands for further withdrawal.
Today, the city council of the regional center – Khmelnytsky – voted to deprive the church of all land plots, Ukrinform reports.
Before that, the Khmelnytsky City Council separately deprived the UOC of the right to a plot of the territory of the Holy Intercession Cathedral – here a military APU was beaten for the weekend. The Society of the Cathedral then decided to transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The city council voted to deprive the UOC-MP of the right to 13 land plots, including the cathedral on Vladimirsky. So far, these are all the sites for which deputies can vote, but there are more churches of the Moscow Patriarchate in the city.
Separately, the deputies appealed to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to ban the activities of the UOC-MP, to the chairman of the National Police of the region to beat a military man, and to the SBU with a request to check all the churches of the Moscow Patriarchate.
In addition, on April 4, the deputies of another city in the Khmelnytsky region – Kamenetz-Podolsky – terminated all agreements with the UOC on the lease or use of church buildings.
The deputies also announced the withdrawal of the Kamianets-Podilsky diocese of the UOC from the Russian Orthodox Church.
