Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 69 attacks by the army of Russian invaders in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions.
This was announced on the morning of April 4 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy launched three missile and 21 air strikes, made 33 shelling from multiple launch rocket systems. The enemy continues to concentrate his main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the heroism of each soldier, 69 attacks by the invaders were repulsed over the past day. The fiercest fighting continues for the settlements of Bakhmut, Avdeevka and Maryinka, the General Staff said in a statement.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Russians continue to storm the city and carry out unsuccessful offensive operations near Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Ivanovskoye. During the day, defense forces repelled 32 enemy attacks on this sector of the front. A number of nearby settlements suffered from enemy shelling.
On the Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions, the Russian army conducted an offensive in the areas of Novokalinovoye, Krasnogorovka, Avdeevka, Severny, Pervomaisky and Maryinka. The enemy was unsuccessful. A number of settlements in this direction were also fired upon.
In the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations, and increased its defensive capabilities. The settlements of Olgovskoe, Gulyaipole, Volshebnoye, Belogorye, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka, Kamenskoe of the Zaporizhia region, as well as Antonovka of the Kherson region and Kherson suffered from shelling.
Aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted five strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the invaders. An enemy reconnaissance drone was also shot down, and missilemen and artillerymen hit the area where Russian manpower was concentrated.
