The alliance cannot allow Russia to continue to undermine Europe’s security, Jens Stoltenberg said.
NATO Foreign Ministers will discuss the beginning of the development of a multi-year support program for Ukraine at a meeting in Brussels This is what NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a briefing in Brussels on Monday, April 3.

“Our support is designed for the long term. Therefore, I hope that the ministers will agree to start working on the development of a multi-year program for Ukraine,” he said and noted that NATO members are has already given Ukraine about 65 billion euros. of aid since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
According to Stoltenberg, the Alliance cannot allow Russia to continue to undermine European security.
He also reiterated his thesis that for Ukraine to become a member of the alliance, it must first win the war.
“NATO’s position remains unchanged – Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance. At the same time, we must understand that the main focus now is to ensure that Ukraine will win as a sovereign independent state in Europe. Without Ukraine won as an independent state, the whole question of membership is not important. So the first step towards any relationship between Ukraine and NATO, “is to make sure that Ukraine wins,” said the Secretary.
It will be remembered that on April 3-4, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba will take part in a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission in Brussels. This level of participation of Ukraine for the first time since 2017.
