The defenders of Ukraine continue to defend in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. Rashists are “far” from capturing the city.
It is reported by The Guardian with reference to the statement of the speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Cherevaty.
Bakhmut is Ukrainian, and they have not captured anything and, to put it mildly, are very far from it,” Cherevaty said.
Cherevaty also confirmed that fighting took place near the Bakhmut city administration building. Earlier, the owner of the Russian PKK Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the Russians allegedly “took the city legally,” referring to the raising of the Russian flag over the administration building.
Prigozhin’s statement was also denied by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.
Calmly react to the fakes of those who compose a “victory” that does not exist in reality,” he said.
