Only one of the 14 Russian-speaking candidates who took part in the elections will enter the Finnish Parliament. It was announced on April 3 by Yle TV and radio company.
It was noted that the mandate of the constituency of Uusimaa was received by Maria Guzenina from the Social Democratic Party. 12,077 people voted for him.
Guzenina is participating in the election for the fifth time since 2007. She was born and raised in Helsinki in a bilingual family and speaks Russian.
Two Russian-speaking candidates from the winning National Coalition Party also took part in the elections, one each from the party Real Finnsthe Left Union and the Communist Party, as well as three candidates from the party union of freedom and five from the party Power belongs to the people.
