The base can serve self-propelled howitzers, Leopard 2 and Challenger tanks, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, Fuchs armored personnel carriers and military trucks.

German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall is building a military equipment logistics and repair center in Satu Mare, Romania, to service weapons supplied to Ukraine, and it will start operating this month. On Sunday, April 2, Reuters reports.

It will service self-propelled howitzers, Leopard 2 and Challenger tanks, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, Fuchs armored transport vehicles and military trucks.

“For us at Rheinmetall, the main concern is to provide the forces of NATO and Ukraine with the best possible support,” said Armin Papperger, head of the concern.

The Rheinmetall concern will create a similar center in Lithuania in June 2022 to provide support for NATO equipment in the Baltic countries.

The state concern Ukroboronprom, in cooperation with a NATO country, has launched the production of 122-mm artillery shells abroad and has already sent the first batch of these ammunitions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The margin of safety of the aggressor country of Russia will allow it to fight against Ukraine for two years.
