Acting Viceroy of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra from the HCU, Archimandrite Avraamy expressed indignation at the statements of Metropolitan Pavel.
He stated that he had testified that the curses of the former governor of the Lavra were groundless and unfair. With these words, according to Abraham, they will return to the representative of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate. This is stated in the appeal, which was published on April 1 on the website of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
As the acting governor of the Lavra, I am deeply indignant at the statements and actions that our former leader is making. Doesn’t he know that unjust curses fall on the head of the curser? All the tears of the brethren that he speaks of are his fault. And all the curses that he sends to both the president and everyone who disagrees with him actually come back to him, because according to the word of Scripture, they, like burning coal, are going to his head,” he said.
According to the new viceroy, the brethren of the Lavra are praying and will continue to do so under Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He also blessed the head of state to fight “with a fake Russian measure that brought war and death to our people.”
The other day, the former governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel, said that “the Lord will not forgive” President Zelensky and his family for the eviction of the clergy of the Moscow Party Archate from the Lavra.
Recall that on April 1, at a court hearing in Kyiv, Metropolitan Pavel complained about the deterioration of his state of health, allegedly “because of the level of sugar.” The judge of the Shevchenko District Court offered to call an ambulance, but Lebed refused. Subsequently, it was decided to postpone the hearing to April 3. However, this evening the metropolitan returned to the court session.
