The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a summary of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine on Saturday evening, April 1.

“Without the desired results on the battlefield, the enemy continues to wage a cynical war against civilians. Today, the Russian Federation has again launched missile attacks on civilian targets in the city of Druzhkovka in the Donetsk region and other settlements in Ukraine, using ballistic missiles. There are casualties among the civilian population. The probability of additional missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

The General Staff states that the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the directions of Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky.

“Today, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 50 enemy attacks. The fiercest battles remain for the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka,” said report.

In the Liman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations throughout the day in the areas south of Kremennaya and Verkhnekamensky.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy does not stop the attack on the city of Bakhmut. However, our defenders bravely held the agreement. At the same time, the enemy is conducting unsuccessful offensive operations in Bogdanovka, Donetsk region, the General Staff reported.

In the Shakhtyorsk direction, the enemy actively used UAVs to direct artillery fire during the day.
