The head of the Roman Catholic Church, Francis, left the Agostino Gemalli clinic in Rome after three days of hospitalization.
Pope Francis has been released from a Roman hospital after a three-day hospitalization for bronchitis. This was announced by the press service of the Holy See on Saturday, April 1.
“Pope Francis has been discharged from the Agostino Gemalli Hospital. Before leaving the medical facility, the Pope greeted the leadership and the entire medical team and medical staff who have been with him these days,” the message said.
After leaving the hospital, Francis spoke to journalists and some believers. The pontiff’s statement was broadcast live on Rai News 24.
“As long as he lives,” Francis replied when asked how he felt. The Pope also said that he was not afraid that he felt bad on Wednesday after the collective audience. On the eve of his discharge on Friday, he visited the children’s department of the hospital, where he baptized the newborn.
It will be recalled that on March 29, the 86-year-old Pope Francis was hospitalized for a routine examination. It was later learned that the head of the Roman Catholic Church had a respiratory infection, but it was not a coronavirus.
