A search began in the house of the former head of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Pavel.
The SBU handed a suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to the former governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel.
He is suspected of inciting inter-religious hatred (p. 161 of the Criminal Code) and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (art. 436 of the Criminal Code).
Pasha “Mercedes” did not admit his own guilt, as expected.
So far, there is no official confirmation of the information from the SBU.
Recall that on March 31, the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra reserve filed a complaint with the police for the second time due to the inadmissibility of the commission for the transfer of state property to the buildings of the Lavra by representatives of the UOC-MP, the Ministry of Culture reported.
For the second day in a row, believers of the UOC-MP with monks and clergy block the commission’s access to objects on the territory of the reserve. At the same time, opponents of the UOC-MP staying there came to the Lavra and accused the leadership of the church of pro-Russian views and the glorification of the Russian world.
In addition, the UOC-MP was sued for preventing the transfer of the property of the Lavra to the state. This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Alexander Tkachenko.
According to him, the reserve appealed to the court to eliminate the numerous obstacles that the UOC-MP has on the way of transferring the property of the Lavra in a legal way to the rightful owner – the state.
