The units of the Offensive Guard are almost formed and ready for combat, however, against the backdrop of a large number of people wishing to join the ranks of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, it was decided to extend the recruitment. . This was announced on Friday, March 31, during the telethon of the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko.
He specified that the reserves would be built up from additional recruited people.
“Eight brigades have been formed, and now we are ready as part of the Defense Forces for active offensive measures on the territory of our state. And, of course, in parallel we are ready to carry out stabilization measures on this territory,” Klymenko said .
He emphasized that “several tens of thousands” of people from all regions of Ukraine have expressed their desire to join the Offensive Guard.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs hopes to train, equip and arm the volunteers within a few months so that they can also participate in future offensive activities.
Recall that in early February, the Ministry of Internal Affairs began to form assault brigades of the Offensive Guard. The new units that volunteers can join are aimed at strengthening the Defense Forces and liberating occupied Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea.
