Peacekeeping forces are used with the consent of both sides, Dmitry Peskov said, clarifying that Russia would not give such consent.
The idea of sending EU peacekeeping troops to Ukraine is “potentially very dangerous.” This is what Kremlin speaker Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Friday, March 31.
So, journalists asked Peskov to comment on the words of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who said that the EU countries are said to be close to discussing the topic of sending peacekeepers to Ukraine.
“It is very important to pay attention to this (in this statement – ed.). If we are talking about some serious slips, then, of course, this is a potentially very dangerous discussion,” he said.
Peskov drew attention to the fact that such forces, as a rule, in world practice are used with the consent of both sides, making it clear that Russia will not give such consent.
“In this case, this is potentially a very dangerous topic,” the Kremlin spokesman reiterated.
Remember that the Kremlin predicts a long “hybrid war”. It was allegedly unleashed against Russia by “unfriendly countries.”
