Supporters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate again gathered on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on the morning of March 31.
On the second day, they, together with the believers of the UOC-MP, block the work of the commission of the Ministry of Culture, which is supposed to examine the state and availability of all state property used by the priests of the Moscow Patriarchate. It is reported by UNIAN.
It is noted that the parishioners have cordoned off the entrances to the temples and do not let the experts of the commission or journalists through. According to them, “an attempt to enter the temples is illegal” because there are “a lot” of media representatives and members of the commission.
The Moscow Patriarchate clarified that they received the decision of the administration of the reserve to terminate the lease agreement with them, but they did not seem to see the court decision.
Recall that on March 30, fans of the Moscow church blocked the entrances to the temples of the Lavra with a human shield. Metropolitan of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate Pavel, after the morning service, said that the commission of the Ministry of Culture would not be allowed into the territory of the temple.
