Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob arrived in Kyiv for a summit on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Buca. It was found out on Friday, March 31.
So, the Slovak agency TASR reported that the Prime Minister of Slovakia Heger arrived in Ukraine today, where he will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Together with Heger, Slovak Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy also arrived in Kyiv. The time and place of the meeting were not announced in advance for security reasons.
According to Heger, Zelensky invited him to visit Ukraine in a telephone conversation after Slovakia approved the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv.
Nagy is due to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov later in the day.
Croatian Prime Minister Andriy Plenkovic also arrived in Kyiv this morning and plans to meet with Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk. Croatian Veterans Affairs Minister Tomo Medved also came with him.
As reported on the website of the Croatian government, together with Zelensky, Heger, Golob and Moldovan President Maia Sandu, they will participate in the summit “Bucha – Russia’s responsibility for crimes in Ukraine” in Kiev on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha. This will be followed by a joint press conference.
This is Plenkovych’s second visit to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began on February 24, 2022. In May last year, he met in Kyiv with the leadership of Ukraine, visited Irpin and Bucha in the Kyiv region.
Slovenian newspaper Delo reported the arrival in Kyiv of Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob. He plans to meet with Zelensky on Friday.
For the Prime Minister of Slovenia, this is the first visit to Ukraine since coming to power, and its purpose is to confirm Slovenia’s support for Ukraine, which has been a victim of Russian aggression since February last year.
Shmyhal and Stefanchuk will also receive Golob in Kyiv.
