Just hours after news of Donald Trump’s indictment by a Manhattan grand jury broke, his son Eric Trump asked why New York officials were “focusing” on his father and not where CVS displays painkillers.
Eric Trump, who called the allegation “third-world judicial misconduct” in a tweet, suggested in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and U.S. Attorney General of New York, Letitia James, have political motives in targeting her father.
He said his family didn’t get “a single speeding ticket” before his father’s presidency and dropped the CVS name amid claims New York City was falling apart.
“I literally walked into CVS the other day and you can’t buy Tylenol because it’s locked behind these glass counters because there’s so much theft, there’s so much looting, there’s so much homelessness and crime,” said he.
“But their attention is turning to Donald Trump.”
The former president’s son’s complaint comes weeks after the New York Police Department last month reported a drop in crime compared to February 2022.
She later claimed that her father “deserves time off,” before Hannity claimed that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had been granted a leave of absence.
