The Austrian Parliament has voted to update the employment rules for refugees from Ukraine.
The Austrian National Council supported the renewal of employment rules for Ukrainian refugees. We are talking about simplifying the rules regarding knowledge of the German language, as well as facilitated work. On Thursday, March 30, APA reported.
According to the decision of the Austrian parliament, holders of the displaced person card living in Austria can get any job in the country without prior permission from the authorities. The requirements for knowledge of the German language have also been simplified. If earlier it was necessary to show the level of knowledge A2, now A1 is enough.
For key workers, skilled workers in scarce jobs and founders of start-ups in Austria, knowledge of French, Spanish and Bosnian-Croat-Serbian at level B1 will be considered.
As the Austrian Secretary of State for Tourism Susanne Kraus-Winkler explained, the changes will provide strength to overcome the shortage of skilled workers.
By the end of 2022, about 91 thousand refugees from Ukraine were registered in Austria, about 66 thousand of them are still in Austria.
It will be remembered that the population of Germany in 2022 has increased to a record high of 84.3 million people due to the massive influx of Ukrainian refugees into the country.
Remember that in Poland they plan to oblige children from Ukraine to attend schools.
Earlier it was reported that in Germany they tried to burn down a kindergarten with Ukrainian refugees.
