The government declared invalid the 2013 order on the transfer of buildings and structures of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra to the UOC-MP monastery for free use. This was announced by the Minister of Culture Alexander Tkachenko
Tkachenko clarified that on March 30, the government revoked the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine under Yanukovych dated July 11, 2013 No. 519 “The issue of transferring buildings and structures to the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (monastery) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for free use.”
Recall that on March 30, the commission of the Ministry of Culture was not allowed on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra to conduct an inspection. The Ministry of Culture turned to the police. Minister Tkachenko said that on March 31, the commission will continue its work in any case.
