The Russian military base in the village of Soloty in the Belgorod region of Russia, where as of January 2022 there were hundreds of pieces of military equipment, is now empty – as of March 23, 2023, there was almost nothing left there. The Radio Liberty project “Schemes” writes about this with reference to satellite photos.

The base is located 30 km from the borders of Kharkiv region. The 237th tank regiment of the Russian army is based there, which, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, participated in the battles near the city of Izyum.

Recently, analysts from the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) reported that the Russian army will “re-mothball” old Soviet equipment. The CIT believes that this indicates problems with the equipment of the military Russian Russians. between January 2022 and March 2023.

The Russian military base, according to Reuters, began to build back in 2015, and was completed at the end of 2020. It was built by a company associated with the so-called “Putin’s chef” Yevgen Prigozhin, who manages the Wagner mercenary group.
