In the Khmelnitsky region, a man who raped his daughter was sentenced to life imprisonment. This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General.
The man reportedly first raped the girl when she was 11 years old, and then did it more than once. He tells her that he will kill her and her mother.
Fearing for her mother’s life, the girl decided to call the police.
The court of first instance sentenced the pedophile to life imprisonment, but his defense challenged the sentence. The Court of Appeal affirmed the verdict.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the convict has already served a sentence for the rape of his own daughter – he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
It will be remembered that in 2021, in one of the villages in Transcarpathia, three teenagers raped a 14-year-old girl in the basement and filmed it. The court sentenced them to five years in prison, but released them from punishment, assigning a probationary period of two years.
The situation received wide publicity. The case was taken under the personal control of Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets.
