In the case of Boguslayev, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv granted the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General and extended the term of detention of the former president of Motor Sich Corporation.
Vyacheslav Boguslaev will be under arrest in a pre-trial detention center for another 60 days, that is, until May 27. This was reported by a journalist of Radio Liberty from the courtroom.
The Office of the Prosecutor General substantiated the petition by the need to continue investigative actions in the case against Boguslaev, as well as in connection with the announcement of a new suspicion of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Motor Sich excavator.
According to the official version of the investigation, in April 2022 Boguslaev blocked the transfer of the Mi-2-MSB-1 helicopter to representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine and instructed his subordinates to hide the details and operational documentation, without which it would be impossible to use this helicopter.
Boguslaev denies all charges. During the court session, he stated that no one from the military had personally contacted him with such a request, and explained the removal of details as a normal workflow.
Earlier, Schemes published records of conversations at that time by the President of Motor Sich, which he had with representatives of the Russian military-industrial complex already during a full-scale war. On the recordings, Boguslaev expresses to his Russian interlocutors the wish that Russian President Vladimir Putin bring the intention of occupying Ukraine to the end, complains about the rocket attacks on Zaporozhye because they affected the aviation plant he heads, is indignant at the looting by the occupiers, and at the same time businessmen partners about secret deliveries to Russia of engines for military helicopters through third countries – in particular, through China.
In Ukraine, since October 2022, Boguslaev has been officially suspected of complicity with the aggressor state, collaboration activities, and assistance to the activities of a terrorist organization.
