Hungary condemns the aggression of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and stands for the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Hungary’s leader asserted.
Hungarian President Katalin Nowak said she supports a peace plan for Ukraine, which provides for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory. He said this on Wednesday, March 29, during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, HVG reports.
At the same time, Novak mentioned the need for “a peace plan that does not include the victory of Russia.”
“We need a peace plan that does not require victory for Russia, while at the same time thinking of fair and realistic goals,” he said.
In addition, Novak thanked Turkish President Erdogan for his role mediating between Ukraine and Russia.
It is known that on March 29, Novak arrived on a three-day visit to Ankara. He met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
It was previously reported that Hungary would not arrest the head of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, if he came to the country. Budapest is not prepared to detain the Kremlin leader suspected of crimes, despite a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.
It can be recalled that the Hungarian Foreign Ministry announced the preparation of Orban’s visit to Kyiv
