Exercises with Yars missile systems began in Russia

The maneuvers will cover three regions. They will join more than three thousand military personnel and about 300 pieces of equipment.

In the Russian Federation, command and staff exercises began, which involved strategic complexes Yars with intercontinental ballistic missiles. This was announced on March 29 by the country’s Ministry of Defense.

It was noted that within the framework of a comprehensive review of the Omsk missile formation, maneuvers will be held with the Novosibirsk missile formation, which is equipped with a mobile ground-based missile system (PGRK) Yars.

The exercises, which are “planned”, will cover three regions. They will join more than three thousand military personnel and about 300 pieces of equipment.

During the maneuvers, they plan to perform the maneuver actions of the PGRK Yars. The missilemen will also take a range of measures to camouflage and counter modern aerial reconnaissance methods in cooperation with formations and units of the Central Military District and Aerospace Forces.

According to the Russian Federation, Yars capable of hitting targets at ranges of up to 11,000 km, the missile is equipped with multiple reentry vehicles with maneuvering warheads.

Reuters writes that the exercises are another attempt by Moscow to demonstrate its nuclear power.

Recall that Belarus has again extended joint military exercises with Russia.
