Anibal Quiroga on JNJ investigation of Patricia Benavidez: “There was no interference, just some administrative changes”

Hannibal Quiroga, the legal representative of the Attorney of the Nation, Patricia Benavidez, noted that the head of the public ministry never intervened in the investigation of the Cuellos Blancos case, replacing some members of the task force. In this sense, he emphasized that he was doing this in search of an improvement in cutting-edge work.

“There is no case. The National Council of Justice conducted an investigation because it had to, because there are a number of complaints, some anonymous, others not, that are relevant to the work of the National Prosecutor’s Office (…) There was no interference, but there were some administrative and functional changes aimed at improving the work of the prosecutor’s office.

Quiroga He also claimed that he did not see any irregularities in the dissertation he had done. Patricia Benavidez and “disappeared”, as recognized by the University of Alas Peruanas. In this sense, he argued that it would need to be seen at the said university, but not at his client’s.

“There is a certificate from the university stating that they awarded him a master’s degree and a doctoral degree, which were registered with Sunedu. is not obliged to answer to the prosecutor,” he said.

The White Collar Case
