Iranian Shahed drones consist of components made by Western countries.
Usually, a 40-50 kg warhead is contained inside the Shahed. But the most valuable device in this UAV is the CRPA antenna, which is supposed to withstand electronic warfare. Basically, Iranian drones are made up of materials that can be bought on the Aliexpress marketplace. This was stated by a representative of Ukrainian intelligence, according to a video by Radio Liberty.
According to the military, intelligence is passing such details to Western partners so that they can restrict their import to Iran due to sanctions.
The story also says that it is quite possible to shoot down the Iranian “Shaheds” with small arms. The border guard in the video said that he managed to shoot down such a drone, which flew at an altitude of 150 m.
After landing, experts began to study the components of the Shahed UAV.
Recall that British intelligence believes that the Russian Federation could begin to receive new shipments of Shahed-type kamikaze drones from Iran. This may be evidenced by the fact that in March the aggressor began to use these UAVs more often to attack targets in Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian specialists dismantled the Russian attack drone “Lancet” for spare parts. It turned out that he had parts not of Russian production. For example, UAVs use the Jetson TX2 module from the American company NVIDIA.
