Temporary housing will be built in Poltava and Lviv regions. The cost of the project is more than 12 million dollars.
Britain and Poland intend to build two temporary settlements for Ukrainians displaced as a result of the Russian invasion. This was announced on March 28 by British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, Reuters reports.
According to him, temporary housing for IDPs will be built in Poltava and Lvov regions. More than $12 million will be allocated for the project.
“Ukrainian citizens continue to suffer due to the aggression of Russian President Vladimir Putin … A new partnership between the UK and Poland will help provide light, heat and housing to those most in need,” Cleverly said.
It was noted that British families have received almost 118 thousand Ukrainian refugees, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find permanent housing for them in the country.
Poland was previously reported to be considering introducing compulsory school attendance for distance-learning refugee children if the war continues.
