Three Leopard 2A6 battle tanks promised by Portugal to Ukraine have been handed over to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Armored vehicles have already crossed the border and are on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, Portugal will continue to support “Ukrainian resistance to Russia’s illegal invasion.” This was announced by the Ministry of National Defense of Portugal on March 28 on Twitter.
Three Leopard 2A6 tanks donated by Portugal are already in Ukraine.
Recall, on the eve it became known that 18 German Leopard 2 tanks and about 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, promised to be transferred to Germany, arrived in Ukraine. The last combat vehicles from this batch left Germany at the end of last week, handed over to Ukrainian representatives at the border.
And today, March 28, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that British Challenger 2 heavy tanks are also in Ukraine.
