Former head of the Security Service Ivan Bakanov is currently in Ukraine. Fyodor Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, a representative of the President in the Parliament, stated this in a comment to Ukrinform, published on Tuesday, March 28.
According to him, an official review of Bakanov’s activities as head of the Security Service of Ukraine has been conducted. Its results contain state secrets, so no details are given.
At the same time, Venislavsky made sure that the former head of the SBU was in Ukraine.
“Bakanov is in Ukraine. He is located in the residential area in the center of the state,” he said.
Recall that last summer the Verkhovna Rada removed him from the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine. The President signed an order on the removal of Bakanov from the duties of the head of the SBU. Zelensky explained this decision by the fact that there is a large number of traitors among the employees of the department in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
