During the meeting, border guards agreed that joint patrols would resume in early April.
Border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment continue joint state border patrols with Romanian border police units. This was announced on Tuesday, March 28, by the State Border Service.
It was noted that earlier a meeting was held at the Porubnoe checkpoint, where the border guards of both countries discussed the issues of joint border protection. The parties agreed that the joint patrol will continue in early April only on the territory of Romania, on the land side of the border.
In addition, service schedules, the use of technical means of border protection and the procedure for joint action to prevent border violators and smuggling were agreed upon.
The State Border Guard Service reminded that the training of joint patrols was introduced in 2017 as part of an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Government of Romania on joint border patrols and the protocol of border agencies.
Recall that recently a new vehicle checkpoint Dyakovtsy – Rakovets was opened on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
It was also reported that the movement of trucks was suspended at the Polish border checkpoint.
