Russia: Father of girl who painted anti-war drawing is asked for two years in prison

Russian prosecutors on Monday demanded two years in prison for a man accused of criticizing the offensive in Ukraine and whose daughter was stripped of security for making an anti-war cartoon.

In connection with the persecution of voices criticizing the offensive in Ukraine, the headmaster immediately contacted the police.

While investigating the girl’s father, authorities uncovered online posts critical of operation in Ukraine.

Moskalev was assigned residence, and his daughter was given to another family and separated from her father.

The future of the family will be decided in another process, which will begin on April 6, during which Moskalev may be permanently deprived of parental rights.

A petition has been launched demanding that the girl be returned to her father’s house.

Even the head of the Wagner paramilitary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose fighters are fighting in Ukraine, offered Mary his support and criticized the local authorities.
