The Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to stabilize the situation in the Bakhmut area of the Donetsk region.
However, fighting in the city area continues. On Saturday, the enemy made 18 assaults along the entire Bakhmut front, and on March 26 there were 17 of them. Previously, from 35 to more than 50 attacks by the invaders were recorded daily. The situation in the Bakhmut area needs to be analyzed, because the Russian army can perform maneuvers with reserves. The enemy is still conducting heavy fire in the Bakhmut direction – there were 268 attacks. This was stated by the press secretary of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Cherevaty, on the air of the telethon.
The Ukrainian military destroyed one Russian tank, several pieces of artillery, two UAVs, a company command and observation post and 10 Russian field depots of ammunition in the Bakhmut direction per day.
According to Cherevaty, artillery shelling does not stop in the Limansko-Kupyansk direction, because the enemy has activated artillery there. Yesterday, March 25, the Russians delivered 370 strikes from cannon and rocket artillery. The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area repelled 10 Russian attacks.
Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that they did not allow the enemies to break through the defenses anywhere and achieve any significant success in the strategic offensive operation.
Recall that on March 25, the command of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region now remains the epicenter of hostilities, therefore it is too early to talk about a complete stop of the Russian offensive in the city area, as British intelligence reported.
