Unsuccessful attempts to shoot down the Ukrainian “Aist-100” by the Russian “Strela” were caught on video.
The public in Telegram “Carpet-Assault Brigade” published a video showing two inaccurate launches of missiles of the Russian Strela-10 air defense system at the Ukrainian Aist-100 reconnaissance drone. The Ukrainian UAV himself filmed a video about it.
At the beginning of the video, the first trace of a missile that did not hit the UAV is noticeable. Subsequently, the Aist continues to circle over the Russian car and soldiers, the Strela tries to hit again, but the second attempt was also unsuccessful.
Aist-100 (Leleka-100 or Ciconia) is a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle designed for reconnaissance.
Created by a Ukrainian company. Adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2021.
Strela-10 is a Soviet anti-aircraft missile system. The complex is designed for visual observation and destruction of air targets at low altitudes. Adopted in 1976.
According to the tactical and technical requirements, the Strela-10SV complex was supposed to ensure the destruction of targets flying at speeds up to 415 m / s on a collision course (on a catch-up course – up to 310 m / s) at an altitude of 25 to 5 km, in a range from 0.8-1.2 to 5 km with a parameter of up to 3 km. The probability of hitting a single guided missile, maneuverable with overloads of 3-5 g, should have been at least 0.5-0.6 in the presence of target designations from the regiment’s air defense controls in the absence of traps and obstacles.
