In Lutsk, an attempt to sell a child was stopped, the “seller” wanted 30 thousand dollars for the baby. This was reported by the press service of the National Police on Friday, March 24.
Law enforcement officers received information that a resident of Lutsk among his friends was looking for those who wanted to “buy” a baby.
It was later learned that the 26-year-old female “salesperson” was taking care of her 23-year-old friend’s child, whom she secretly gave birth to at home in April 2022 and gave it to her the day after the birth.
“At first, the woman was worried about the baby, hid it from the eyes, and then, to improve her financial situation, she started looking for people who were willing to get an 11-month-old child,” the report said.
During the transfer of the child to the buyer, the attacker was detained. The child was picked up and is in the hospital.
The woman was reportedly suspected of human trafficking. The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for him has been decided. After analyzing all the circumstances and facts, the mother’s actions will also be given legal qualification.
