Ukraine will definitely achieve long-term security, freedom and peace, the head of state said.
Ukraine is now at a decisive stage in the struggle for its independence and sovereignty. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this at the graduation ceremony for officers at the Kiev Institute of the National Guard, the press service of the head of state reports on Friday, March 24.
He noted that the National Guard has become one of the main elements of the state’s general defense system, which does not allow the enemy to defeat Ukraine.
“We are now at a decisive stage in the struggle for our freedom, sovereignty, the struggle for Ukraine that has been going on for centuries, which has been the content of the lives of different generations of our people,” Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that he has no doubt that “we will be able to defend Ukraine and achieve long-term security, freedom and peace for the Ukrainian people.”
“We must do everything to speed up this result, speed up our victory. I believe that your actions will bring us closer to our common goal in Ukraine. And let your character show its steadfastness in the fight against the occupier,” said Zelensky.
He expressed his gratitude to all fighters, leadership, officers of the National Guard, the Kharkov National Academy of NSU and the Kyiv Institute of NSU.
On the eve of Zelensky explained why the war is dragging on. If the West hesitates, evil can have time to regroup and prepare for years of war, he believes.
