Denmark found a mysterious object near SP-2

The authorities decided to raise the object from the bottom of the Baltic Sea with the help of the Danish Ministry of Defense.

Denmark has discovered an unknown object near the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and intends to raise it. The gas pipeline operator Nord Stream 2 AG was invited to participate. This was announced yesterday by the Danish Energy Agency.

Accordingly, the relevant Danish authorities inspected the facility and concluded that it did not pose an immediate security threat.

“To further clarify the nature of the matter, the Danish authorities decided to raise the matter with the help of the Danish Ministry of Defense. The Danish Energy Agency in this context invited the owner of the pipeline, Nord Stream 2 AG, to take part in the operation,” the report said.

It is indicated that the agency is now awaiting a response from the operator.

Earlier it became known that Denmark will not give permission to the Russian Federation to participate in the investigations into the explosions in the two Nord Stream gas pipelines.

The media also reported that Russia decided to mothball the exploded Nord Stream gas pipelines.
