He also recalled that the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine are clearly recognized in the Constitution and international documents, and these standards will not disappear anywhere like the Ukrainians themselves.
Blinken emphasized that the United States wants peace in Ukraine.
“We very much want peace, even Ukrainians want it more than anyone. After all, they are the ones who suffer from this aggression every day, they want a lasting and sustainable peace that reflects the basic principles of the international system and the UN Charter,” the Secretary of State asserted.
Blinken added that the US does not want Russia to have a chance to rest, regroup and attack Ukraine again in a year or so.
Earlier, Blinken said that the United States will continue to provide support to Ukraine in the security, economic, energy, and humanitarian spheres.
