The United States still does not foresee providing material support to Moscow from Beijing, but continues to monitor the situation.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s meeting with Keml chief Vladimir Putin was a “wake-up call” that could signal China’s growing support for Russia. This was announced on Thursday, March 23, by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, Ukrinform reports.

Xi’s meeting with Putin was a “show of support,” he said.

“Xi’s visit to Putin and his stay there for several days, I think, sends a disturbing message, a message of support,” said the US Secretary of Defense.

At the same time, Austin said that there are no facts yet about the transfer of deadly weapons by China to the Russian Federation.

Austin also emphasized that China’s provision of material support to the Russian Federation could affect the continuation of the war.

Remember, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is not opposed to using points from China’s so-called “peace plan” to resolve the war in Ukraine.

At the same time, the United States called China’s “peace plan” an attempt to stop the war in Ukraine.
