The United States has a positive vision for a future world that is free, safe, open, and prosperous.
The United States will continue to support Ukraine in the security, economic, energy, and humanitarian areas. This was announced on Wednesday, March 22, by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a hearing in the Senate Appropriations Committee on the draft of the US budget for 2024, Voice of America reports.
He also assured that the State will continue to finance all the projects.
At the same time, Blinken indicated that the Americans are waiting for some challenges.
“The first is a challenge from our strategic competitors, a direct severe threat from Russian autocracy and aggression. The most destructive, of course, because of his brutal aggression against Ukraine,” said Blinken.
Another threat is what the US Secretary of State called a long-term challenge from China.
Blinken emphasized that the US leadership is doing everything to fight them and noted that defeating Russia on the front would help the US compete with China.
He also pointed out that the United States also needs to deal with issues related to the climate crisis, migration, food and energy security, and pandemics that directly affect the lives of Americans.
The United States assessed the impact of the Chinese leader’s visit to Moscow on the war.
Washington has also said that Russian troops in Ukraine can avoid encountering depleted uranium shells if they remove their tanks from the territory of a foreign state.
