The Russian invaders will slightly reorient their strikes – energy will remain a target, but military installations, the concentration of Ukrainian troops and logistics may become the main target.
Vadim Skibitsky, Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine agency.
According to Skibitsky, this, in particular, is evidenced by the latest drone strikes that the Russians inflicted on the night of March 17-18 and on the night of March 21-22.
They hit bases of fuels and lubricants in Novomoskovsk, Zhytomyr, and there were also hits in the Yavoriv region. What were the main goals? The logistics system of our troops and the concentration of our equipment, which is located at the points of deployment, he stressed.
Skibitsky notes that the climatic winter is already ending, and the Kremlin has not succeeded in destroying the Ukrainian energy system.
This is thanks to our power engineers, the Armed Forces, the air defense forces, as well as the coordinated work of all ministries and departments. Therefore, the Russians will now somewhat reorient the direction of strikes, he believes.
Thus, Skibitsky notes, strikes on oil depots confirmed that the occupiers will try to destroy those critical infrastructure elements that are necessary for the successful conduct of hostilities.
At the same time, energy will also remain among the targets.
There are also critical infrastructure facilities, primarily economic ones that affect the development of our state. These are oil refineries, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, and the like,” Skibitsky notes.
He also did not rule out that hydraulic engineering and treatment facilities could become targets of the enemy.
We are analyzing what objects the Russian Federation is reconnaissance of. Among them are hydraulic structures, bridges across the Dnieper, airfields and airports, supply routes for weapons and military equipment coming from the West. Russia is constantly reconnaissance of these objects, including space ones, – Skibitsky noted.
