The bridge was installed on the R-69 highway Vyshgorod – Desna – Chernigov, which now serves as the main route from Chernigov to Kyiv.
A metal modular bridge was installed on the right bank of the Desna River near Chernigov. This was announced by the head of Chernihiv OVA Vyacheslav Chaus on Telegram.
“A metal modular bridge was installed on the R-69 Vyshgorod – Desna – Chernihiv highway, which now serves as the main route from Chernigov to Kiev. Until now, only a temporary crossing has been operating in this area,” he wrote.
According to Chaus, the installation was completed in February, but before the launch of traffic, they tested the building and placed new road signs at the crossing entrances.
The head of UVA mentioned that thanks to modular bridges, it is possible to ensure travel on critical routes and restore normal life in occupied cities and towns in a short time.

Previously, two bridges were installed on the main route between Chernigov and Kiev R-69. The third will be placed on a road of national importance. Preparatory work is already underway, and as soon as the water level in Desna drops, the process of building the structure of the structure will begin.
Since the beginning of the mass invasion of the Russian Federation in the Chernihiv region, 27 bridges have been destroyed. Temporary bypasses have been installed at 20 locations.
It was previously reported that the World Bank will allocate $50 million to repair roads and bridges in Ukraine.
