He called the negotiations with Kishida quite productive. Zelensky emphasized that this visit is taking place at a time when Japan is leading the Group of Seven Democracies.
“Given Japan’s strength, the leadership of this Asian state in defending peace and the international order based on rules, as well as Japan’s responsibility as chairman of the Group of Seven, our talks today can indeed bring of a global result. We discussed security issues, and political, and sanctions, both economic and humanitarian. Japan is willing to join our recovery – to be a leader in economic and infrastructure processes,” Zelensky stressed.
He recalled that the Prime Minister of Japan began his visit to Ukraine with a visit to Bucha, and also visited the Wall of Remembrance in Kyiv, near St. Michael’s Cathedral, honoring the soldiers who died for Ukraine.
