Last summer, Artemy Lebedev, commissioned by the Kremlin, filmed a report on the acquisition of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
The security service reported suspicion of Russian blogger Artemy Lebedev for an illegal visit to Ukraine in the summer of 2022, where he was filming a report for Russian propaganda media about the seizure of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was reported by the SBU press service on Tuesday, March 21.
“The criminal activities of Russian blogger Artemy Lebedev, who in June 2022 illegally entered the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP, were documented. There he filmed a commissioned report for Kremlin media sources in seizure of the electricity facility and” dispersed “it through his half a million audience in social networks,” said the report.
Lebedev is suspected of justifying, recognizing Russia’s legitimate armed aggression against Ukraine.
The website of the Office of the Prosecutor General reports that Lebedev was charged with suspicion on February 17.
It will be recalled that on January 27, 2022, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to apply personal sanctions to Lebedev for his support of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and his visit to ORDLO.
In March 2017, the SBU banned Lebedev from entering Ukraine. The reason for this decision was the Russian blogger’s visits to captured Donetsk and Crimea, as well as his statements about the events in Ukraine after the Euromaidan.
