A significant part of the ammunition orders for Ukraine will be sold to Poland.
Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said that Warsaw will join the agreement on the joint purchase of ammunition for Ukraine by European countries. He said this on TV channel TVP1, PAP reports.
“Recently, I spoke with our ambassador to the EU, and now we have an internal procedure for giving permission to this document. Due to the fact that we are also the beneficiary of this project, since we are one of the largest manufacturers of ammunition . , of course, we will participate in this process,” said Muller.
According to him, a significant part of the ammunition orders for Ukraine will be implemented in Poland.
Mueller added that the need for ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is one of the biggest problems at the front. The management of these enterprises should speak about the production capacities of individual Polish ammunition manufacturers.
Recall that EU member states approved the decision to provide Ukraine with 1 million shells over the next 12 months.
Earlier it was reported that the EU could allocate 500 million euros for the production of shells for Ukraine.
