The actual numbers of disappearances are higher than the official ones: the reports refer only to documented cases.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has recorded 8,317 deaths and 13,892 injuries of Ukrainian civilians. This is stated in the commissioner’s report.
A reported 6,446 dead and 11,374 wounded were recorded in Ukrainian-controlled territory:
in Donetsk and Lugansk regions – 3822 dead and 5360 wounded;
in other regions: 2624 dead and 6014 wounded.
Another 1,871 dead and 2,518 wounded were recorded among civilians in the occupied territory of Ukraine:
in Donetsk and Lugansk regions: 636 dead and 2274 wounded;
in other regions: 1235 dead and 244 injured.
It is noted that the actual number of losses is much higher: we are only talking about documented cases, and in many localities, documentation is impossible or data confirmation is required.
We are talking, for example, about Mariupol, Lisichansk, Popasnaya and Severodonetsk (and many other settlements), where there are reports of many civilian casualties, but there is still no way to verify and document them .
It will be recalled that a week ago, the UN reported 8,231 dead and 13,734 wounded civilians in Ukraine.
At the same time, the UN has not found evidence of the genocide of Ukrainians.
