The court arrested the helicopter of the ex-People’s Deputy, the shareholder of the bank JSC Bank Finance and Credit Konstantin Zhevago. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
It is known that the helicopter belongs to a legal entity controlled by the former deputy. Zhevago used it for personal purposes during his stay on the territory of Ukraine.
As stated in the State Bureau of Investigation, the location of the helicopter was established and all necessary actions were taken to arrest it.
The State Bureau of Investigation recalled that as part of the investigation into the criminal proceedings against Zhevago, suspicions were also reported to a number of top bank managers. They arranged a mechanism for the embezzlement of 113 million US dollars by a financial institution, thereby damaging the interests of the state and bank depositors. To date, the property of the suspected oligarch, as well as the legal entities associated with him, have been confiscated. In particular: distributes his businesses worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias, corporate rights of companies, 26 real estate objects. The property of other legal entities associated with the former deputy was also seized. Among other things, these are 14 property complexes, 21 parts of property complexes, 30 non-residential premises, 10 apartments.
In October 2020, seized assets worth more than UAH 300 million were transferred to the National Agency for Identification, Tracing and Asset Management (ARMA). At the end of December 2022, at the request of the SBI, French law enforcement officers detained Konstantin Zhevago in a hotel in Courchevel.
Recall, the Economic Court of Kyiv decided to seize the assets of the owner of the bank Finance and Credit Konstantin Zhevago as part of the case for damages in the amount of almost 46 billion Hryvnia.
The media reported that a French court had released Zhevago on bail.
