The Minister of Education of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovoy, who was appointed on March 21, was accused of plagiarizing his dissertation A person’s sociocultural self-identificationwhich he defended in 2012. Information about this appeared on the portal Errors and falsifications in scientific research.
Dissertation analysis revealed instances in other people’s works. In particular, the materials of Arabchuk and Zuev were allegedly used. The entire piece of text coincides with someone else’s work, inserted into Lisovoy’s dissertation without quotation marks and citation indications.
In the list of literature used by Lisov in writing his dissertation, Arabchuk’s work is completely absent. Zuev’s article is fully included in Lisovoy’s dissertation, but he inserts a link to it only in three places.
“The proof of Lisov’s thoughtless copying of someone else’s text is an error in the text of Zuev’s article – the letter “t” is missing from the word “anthropocultural”, and we have the same in the dissertation,” said of the report.

It is also noted that the section with conclusions is also significantly copied, and in the text of the dissertation one can notice the replacement of the Ukrainian “i” with the English “i” – which is a way to trick the plagiarism detection program .
Moreover, it is said that 50% of the aforementioned publications on the subject of the dissertation turned out to be wrong.
Oksen Lisovoy declared her zero tolerance for academic dishonesty, Ukrainian Pravda. Life was told at the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The minister wishes to send his Ph.D. thesis for some authoritative analysis.
“If violations were found in his work, Oksen Lesovoy was ready to give up his PhD degree and, as a minister, build a fundamentally new academic culture and a culture of educational and scientific management,” said MORE.
Recall that today the Verkhovna Rada appointed Oksen Lisovoy as the new Minister of Education and Science. After the full Russian invasion of Ukraine, Lisovoy volunteered for the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he continued to remotely manage the Minor Academy of Sciences, which he has headed since 2010.
It is worth noting that the previous Minister of Education and Science, Sergei Shkarlet, was accused of plagiarism in scientific papers for a long time.
