Ukraine will introduce a one-time payment of cash assistance in case of disability or death due to war. On March 20, people’s deputies supported bill No. 7353 in the second reading.
Payment can be received:
- persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or local self-government;
- employees of critical infrastructure facilities;
- journalists or members of their families.
In case of death resulting from injury, payments will amount to UAH 1 million.
In the case of establishing a disability group from III to I, resulting from injury – from 200 to 800 thousand hryvnia.
The funds paid from the state budget will be reimbursed from the aggressor state – the Russian Federation in accordance with the norms of international law.
The decision is important, because the enemy is shelling civilian objects, in particular, critical infrastructure, where civilian workers are among the victims. It is also important that there are journalists on this list. They are now doing a very dangerous job to inform society and the whole world about what is happening in hot spots in our country,” MP Oleksiy Goncharenko explained.
