President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law banning pro-Russian parties in Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
It was noted that the law on changes in some legislatures of Ukraine on the ban on political parties was sent to Zelensky for signing on May 6. Now the document has been returned to Parliament with the signature of the President.

It may be recalled that on March 20, the National Security and Defense Council suspended the activities of several parties during martial law: the Opposition Platform for Life, the Sharia Party, Our Party, the Opposition Bloc, the Left Opposition, the Union of Left Forces, the State, the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine, the Socialist Party of Ukraine, the Socialists, the Volodymyr Balance Bloc.
The next day, a bill was registered to ban pro-Russian parties. And later, a procedural bill appeared for banning pro-Russian parties. In the event of a party court prohibition, the property, funds and other assets of the party and its structural entities shall become the property of the state.
