Ukraine received eight Leopard 2 tanks from Norway. Now the staff is being trained in Poland. This was reported by Norway’s Ministry of Defense on Monday, March 20.
“On January 26 of this year, it was announced that Norway would contribute to the international donation of tanks to Ukraine. Shortly thereafter, it was decided that Norway would donate eight Leopard 2 tanks and four support vehicles .The tanks are already in place, The training of the personnel is also carried out in Poland under the auspices of the EU.
Norwegian tanks and support vehicles were delivered to the Ukrainians using An-124 Ruslan aircraft.
Norway also allocates targeted funds for the purchase of ammunition and spare parts for armored vehicles.
Earlier it became known that Norway will transfer to Ukraine two NASAMS air defense systems, which have shown themselves very well in protecting peaceful cities from Russian missiles. Norway is ready to conduct training for the Ukrainian military.
It was also reported that Ukraine is in talks with Norway on pilot training.
