Vice President of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedevaffirmed that it is “quite imaginable” to strike the headquarters of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which issued an arrest warrant for the Russian president last Friday, with a Russian missile, Vladimir Putin.
“We are all at the mercy of God and missiles,” wrote Medvedev, President Russia in the period from 2008 to 2012 in his Telegram channel.
He added that the precise use of the Onyx hypersonic missile, launched by a Russian ship from the North Sea, against the headquarters The Hague Court”.
“The court is just a miserable organization, it is not the population of the NATO countries. Therefore, they will not start a war. They will be afraid. No one will be sorry. So, judges, look carefully at the sky …”, the former president warned.
He added that the consequences of issuing a warrant for the arrest of the president of a nuclear power would be appalling under international law.
“Now no one will go to international bodies, all agreements will be separate. All stupid decisions of the UN and other structures will be torn to shreds. A gloomy decline of the entire system of international relations will begin,” he predicted.
Arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin
The ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin as allegedly responsible “for the war crime of illegal deportation of the population (children) and illegal transfer of the population (children) from the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia”.
From the very beginning, the Kremlin categorically rejected any decision of the ICC as “legally invalid” because it does not recognize its jurisdiction.
“We deem legally invalid any decision of the international criminal court, which we also do not recognize,” a spokesman for the Russian president insisted this Sunday. Dmitry Peskov.
Except, Medvedev compared the ICC arrest warrant for Putin to toilet paper. “The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin. No need to explain where this paper should be used,” he tweeted in English, along with a toilet paper emoji. (According to EFE and AFP)
